I am an assistant professor in the philosophy department at the University of Maryland, College Park. My research interests are in ancient philosophy, value theory and moral psychology. I am particularly interested in Plato's conception of unity and the role this concept plays in his ethical theory. Recently, my research has been supported by Harvard's Center for Hellenic Studies, and the National Endowment for the Humanities.
